Kitchen Center of Framingham did a fantastic job on my kitchen, master bath and study. Dave Bartlett and his team were creative, responsive, and timely in all three jobs. They thoroughly understood my needs and fulfilled them. KC has a wide selection of cabinetry and countertop material so each of my rooms are distinctive. Attention to detail was of prime importance to me and I was very satisfied with my choice of using them.

We had a very positive experience working with Kitchen Center of Framingham. Our kitchen was original to the house and plagued by poor quality cabinetry, an ineffective layout and hideous soffits that blocked out all the light. Jasmin did a fantastic job at designing a much more efficient layout. The pull out drawers in the island and the deep storage cabinets above the fridge, have added large storage spaces for all my kitchen gadgets and platters. The waterfall countertops and the full backsplash give the kitchen the wow factor. Eliminating the soffit and the tiled floor have brightened up our kitchen tremendously and make it appear much larger. The contractors installing the kitchen were fabulous. They arrived on time and were on schedule. We are very pleased with the look and feel of the cabinetry and we are thoroughly enjoying our new kitchen space.

This was our first time designing a kitchen from scratch. Hagit at the Kitchen Center of Framingham couldn't have been more helpful throughout the process. She knew all the right questions to ask and did the perfect job of helping us navigate our way to a kitchen that is beautiful, functional, and everything we dreamed of! The installers were efficient, courteous, knowledgeable, and very professional. We would return to the Kitchen Center of Framingham if we had to do it all over again!

We had a great experience with the Kitchen Center. They designed new layouts for 2 bathrooms as well as designed custom bathroom vanities. The new layouts are so much more practical and user friendly. I would recommend them for all kitchen and bathroom design.

I worked with Jasmin at the Kitchen Center for a complete remodel of our kitchen and could not have been more thrilled with the process and how the final product turned out! Jasmin created a design that is both beautiful and functional for our needs. She is very thorough and responsive in her work, and organized multiple trips to our house throughout the renovation to make sure everything was going to plan. She even consulted directly with our contractor when questions arose. She is an absolute gem and I would highly recommend her and the team at the Kitchen Center for anyone considering a remodel!

We had a tremendous experience working with Hagit Belfer at the Kitchen Center. She helped us achieve our goal - a contemporary kitchen at one with a 1905-era space. Hagit has a wonderful eye for design, one that stretches from the big picture to the smallest details, and everything in between. She was a pleasure to work with throughout - responsive, thoughtful, attentive. She listens. We are so happy with the result, both in terms of its appearance and overall functionality!

Suffice it to say, I am not sure I would have made it through the reno process without Sara from Kitchen Center! From the outset, she was professional, kind, detail-oriented, and honest, with a good sense of humor! She listened carefully and offered just the right amount of structure and support that we needed. Her combination of experience, design intuition/skill, and attention to detail was incredibly reassuring for us. And, her commitment to the quality of her work was so apparent when she came out after our kitchen was framed and checked measurements five different times with the laser to be sure the dimensions were accurate before ordering all the cabinets. This saved us money and stress as the dimensions had shifted by over five inches from the plans! Honestly, I could not recommend Sara more highly. We LOVED her and we LOVE our kitchen! Thank you Sara. And, to boot, - we love our cabinets - the quality and appearance are just what we were hoping for and know that they will last us many, many years.

We worked with the Kitchen Design Center of Framingham and Hagit Belfer on a downstairs remodel of our 1969 colonial. Hagit came up with an efficient, attractive design to maximize our space downstairs and make it more open and contemporary. She was full of practical advice on cabinets, their layout and what choices made sense. She was very helpful in setting up a methodical way of working our way through the design and implementation and then checked on us periodically through the project. We are now done and we now have a much more livable and attractive house!

Hagit and Carleton were easy to work with. They responded to our ideas and created an exciting contemporary design. They provided expertise that makes our medium sized kitchen feel spacious. They came up with efficient and aesthetically clever suggestions to make the cabinetry and countertop beautiful as well as functional. We also recommend their installer, Brian, who took great care in aligning the cabinets so that we achieved a flawless result.

This was about as seamless a kitchen renovation that one could ever hope for. Dave listened carefully to the goals we wanted to achieve in our kitchen, and was patient with the design adjustments we wanted to incorporate as we considered each version of the design plans. One cabinet in particular that was added toward the end of the design process was brilliantly conceived on his part--a cabinet to store large items that looked like a lovely piece of dining room furniture, with exterior shelving and drawers. It is a centerpiece in the kitchen. Dave was careful to preserve important walkways in our kitchen so as to not create bottlenecks--an important element in this centrally located kitchen. His advice on style and color of cabinetry was also highly valued in our desire to achieve a cleaner and brighter look, yet one that was still consistent with our 1931 Colonial. The Brookhaven cabinets are beautiful and well-made. While they are pricey, Dave was able to steer us to take advantage of a manufacturer's discount. The selection of hardware that was available without incurring additional cost was completely adequate, and we took advantage of this option. Installation of the cabinetry was smooth and timely. We decided to make a last minute change to the placement of our microwave, which necessitated the order of a new drawer. This took longer than we had hoped, but understood that this was not a Kitchen Center issue, but rather one of the manufacturer, as each item is custom made. When the drawer arrived, it was without a front--this added more time. Once the cabinetry was installed, irregularities were minimal. Dave and a service that works with him tended to adjust hinges, covering screw heads, and painting areas that needed to be smoothed. Overall, working with the Kitchen Center exceeded our expectations. Communication and responsiveness were excellent. They partnered well with our contractor so that there were no glitches or last minute surprises--almost unheard of for a kitchen renovation. The quality of the design and workmanship has made for a space that we are loving, and our only regret was that we did not redo our kitchen sooner!

The Kitchen Center came highly recommended by our designer as well as neighbors who had recently purchased kitchen cabinets. We had an extensive renovation, including a new master bathroom and kitchen remodel. Using quality materials that would endure the test of time in our new spaces was important to us, and after thorough comparison shopping we opted for Brookhaven cabinets from Kitchen Center. Kitchen Center had a large selection of cabinet styles/ finishes, attractive hardware and convenient accessories. We were able to find exactly what we had in mind. The staff worked seamlessly with our designer. The cabinet installation was expertly done, with a keen eye to the smallest details. Each staff member along the way was courteous and helpful. Our rooms have been transformed into beautiful, comfortable and very functional spaces, due in large part to the cabinetry. We are very pleased!

Dave was great. We've never lived in a kitchen where the "flow" was this good. The design really incorporates how we live and cook in our kitchen. He also suggested a lot of really nice features- like a drawer right near the stove for our cooking oils, spice drawer, lots of pegboard drawers to store dishes, etc. We have space for just about everything now (including a printer drawer by our desk) in a fairly modest size kitchen. So, no more clutter on the counter tops! Dave also was always prompt, answered questions right away and the cabinets came in on time. I would definitely use him again!

In Depth: Ann & Sean

Ann and Sean’s No. 1 priority was to open up the first-floor plan. The existing space, which housed the kitchen and sitting area, was fairly sizable, but could be made to feel much larger with some modifications. They wanted to make the dining room more accessible and to update the look and the feel of the kitchen. The objective for the kitchen was to make it a warmer, more inviting space, with higher-grade appliances.

Following subsequent meetings, Ann and Sean approved our recommend changes, which included eliminating a small hallway and removing partially the wall between the dining room and kitchen. The effect was to open dramatically the overall space. We amplified this feeling by adding a bump-out and replacing a small window with a much larger one, enabling Ann and Sean to place a sofa in the recessed space. Together, we achieved a warmer look and traditional design with a raised-panel door in cherry wood, incorporating several mullioned-glass doors with bead board on the back of the island and a decorative, molded baseboard, to finish it off with style. We reconfigured the front-foyer closet, to eliminate a conflict between the front and foyer doors as well as to use the space more effectively and allow for a larger opening into the adjacent family room.

Kitchen Center of Framingham redesigned Ann and Sean’s back foyer/laundry room into a mudroom. The new plan included a bench seat for removing & putting on shoes/boots with open storage below, a clothes rod for coats, hooks for backpacks and such, as well as baskets and enclosed cabinets. We also renovated the existing family room, making it feel more inviting with the addition of new windows above a new window seat, TV cabinet and bookcases.

“We felt comfortable working with The Kitchen Center based on past experience, but also because they gave us a very detailed estimate for the work that was planned. We were then able to make decisions about what was most important to us and were confident that we could stay within budget. Throughout the process, the staff was available and very responsive. In a project this size, there are always unexpected things that come up and they dealt professionally with each one very. Despite the many remodeling horror stories we had heard, our project went very smoothly and we are quite happy with the results.”

“This project represents the type of challenge I really enjoy. The clients’ ideas and our designs completely transformed the first floor of their home. Their home is so much larger, yet still cozy, and the kitchen functions very well for their lifestyle.”
